What Is A Steel Stillage?
Steel stillages are essentially customised pallets used to store and transport goods. They are an extremely versatile piece of equipment because they double up to fill both the storage and transport function thus eliminating the need to separate these two roles. Many stillages will come fitted with casters for mobility and will also have a stackable base configuration allowing multiple stillages to be stacked on top of each other. A drop-front access feature may also be added to allow easy access to the contents of the stillage when stacked.
Steel stillages come with fitted sides and are produced with consideration towards the type of goods they will be storing eg. mesh sides allow for good visibility of the contents which is useful for warehouse staff. Metal plate sides on the other hand, are great for goods that require solid containment.
At Range Storage we produce:
British Made Steel Stillages – Made To Last
At Range Storage, we have built up a reputation for providing steel stillages made from the finest locally sourced steel. High-quality steel is an absolute necessity in producing durable stillages as constant usage and heavy loads can soon take their tolls on low quality steel stillages. Buckling or bending is often a problem encountered as a result of using poor quality steel which is why we insist on only using stringently selected steel with the perfect metallurgic composition.
